We plan to offer classes for Introduction to Blacksmithing classes in our shop.  We have offered classes in the past and have greatly enjoyed it, but due to a high order list, we have postponed classes until further notice.

The class is usually held in our studio in Robert and will consist of (7) seven 3-hour classes from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Monday nights.

Beginners will be introduced to the forge as well as the basics of working with steel at the anvil. The focus of the class will be to learn basic techniques such as heating, shaping, punching, bending and welding of steel with hammer and anvil. The class focus will be process and technique which will be applied to small finished projects. Each night students will learn different techniques and skills and use that skill to create a project that is either a tool or a functional/ornamental object. The last 2 classes students will use all of the techniques and skills learned to create a project of their choice.

The tuition per person is $350.00 which includes supplies and materials. All you have to bring is yourself and a pair of safety glasses.
