Throughout the course of a year, I will work on creating furniture for customers who have placed a custom order, or I am building new work to exhibit either at the Jazz Fest in Spring or the Three Rivers Art Festival in the fall.  The work created for the spring and fall exhibits are always for purchase and immediately available.  They do not need to be custom ordered.  However once those items are gone, everything has to be ordered.

Most people who contact me have similar questions about the ordering process so I would like to walk you through the ordering process.

Once the item is chosen i.e. coffee table, consol table, lamp, etc..., the customer will decide on dimensions, finishes and a style.  I can work with any dimension.

I offer a choice of two finishes.  You can choose either a dark brown patina which is a dark rust-brown color or the natural steel finish, which is a dark grey with plenty of contrast.  You can see examples of these finishes in each picture on this site.  The final stage of the finishing process is to coat everything with a 2-part urethane clear paint to protect it.

I am currently offering 3 separate lines or styles displayed in this website.  They are the "Vine", "Iris" and "Ginkgo" lines.  The Vine line is the most recognizable line where the iron is mimicking a branching tree with vines and leaves.

Here are many examples of furniture within the Vine line.

Iris Line

In the last year or two, I have been working on creating additional lines which are organic in concept.  I use larger stock to start with and heavily forge each element.  Here are images showing examples of furniture I have made using what we have named, the Iris Line.  They stylized iron leaves are reminiscent of the leaves of a Louisiana Iris which hits close to home for me.

Ginkgo Line

Another option is what we are calling the Ginkgo Line.  It is not an exact replica of a ginkgo leaf, but rather a stylized version.  I take random shapes and forge them at the end into a stem on one side and spread the other side into a heavily forged shape that is similar to a broad flat leaf such as a ginkgo.  It is similar in style to the Iris Line however the Iris Line has long pointed ends rather than broad flat ends.
